What's on

Vild med Vejle

We want to make a lasting difference in our city. Not through campaigns, but through presence: shared meals, practical help and open doors for people in Vejle — whether or not they attend church.

What we do in the city

  • Family network Vejle

Thursday in even-numbered weeks, 4.00–7.00 pm

A community for families under pressure — for example due to unemployment, illness, bereavement, addiction or divorce. Shared meals, activities for children and adults, and personal, social and financial guidance as needed. Run by volunteers.

  • Community café & Foodbank

    Every Monday, 10.00–11.30 am

Coffee, community and food to take home. You can receive food if you receive public benefits, have been approved and are registered — so please call Helle first.

  • Christmas aid

Annually in the run-up to Christmas

Gift cards for Christmas food and gifts for children in financially struggling families and for people living alone in Vejle Municipality — distributed in a welcoming café atmosphere. Run in partnership with organisations including KIT, REMA 1000 and Rosborg Gymnasium. Most recently, 120 families received help.

  • Halløj i Parken

Every May — most recently 29–31 May 2026

A free festival for the whole family, organised in close partnership with pastors and volunteers from other churches in Vejle: bouncy castles, a craft tent, café, live music and a bonfire. In 2025, more than 200 volunteers welcomed around 3,000 guests.

Need a hand — or would you like to lend one?

The family network, foodbank and Christmas aid are coordinated by Helle. If you would like to volunteer in any of these areas, more helping hands are always welcome.
